Grade 5
This year we're going to use a new textbook called "Learning Zone 2" from McGraw-Hill. We will use this book for the whole year. Please take good care of your book!
In the Fall 2015 semester, we will learn the following:
- Unit 1 - School Days
- Unit 2 - Let's Go Places!
- Unit 3 - Our Town
- Unit 4 - Sports Time
In the Spring 2016 semester, we will study the following:
- Unit 5 - It's a Beautiful World
- Unit 6 - People and Places
- Unit 7 - Feelings and Senses
- Unit 8 - Talking about Food
We will also learn the following:
- Song: "Old MacDonald had a Farm"
- Song: "There was an Old Lady"
- Story and Readers Theater: "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"
- Story and Readers Theater: "The Monster in Hare's House"
Activities we will do include role play, surveys, projects, Readers Theater, games, and more.
